Ali is my preceptor; I’m his slave O Gram, for Ali I’ll sacrifice thousands like you I’m Ali’s devotee, I’m an ascetic like him I’m his unquestioning follower Hence I’m his slave He was the leader of all those immersed in God’s love I’m the humblest servant of the Lion of Allah’s domain Now the foundations and now the thresholds are shaken The Fort Khaibar trembles even now on hearing Ali’s Name Ali is the king of the entire brave He is the master of all the chivalrous When I breathe last his name will be on my lips Majnun, the mad lover, got Laila The Prophet Joseph won over Zulaikha And I, the most fortunate, got Ali And, on my shroud is inscribed the name of Ali, My master Even in the stone he planted the banner of Islam He challenged Marhab, the greatest wrestler of his time, and defeated and killed him O my dear soul, recite his name for his name is the truth and his name will end your sorrows Reveal the truth of his name today Ali, Ali the Master You are also mortal, so recite his name Ali the master the benefactor of the underprivileged He was Prophet Muhammed’s lieutenant and strength Ali is the leader of the chivalrous and without him there is no victory He is the Lion of God and the absolute truth On my tongue and lips should have Ali’s name on them If I die Ali’s name should be on my shroud Without love for Ali one cannot realise one’s wishes, nor are one’s prayers rewarded O people heed me, I swear on God if you don’t get Ali you won’t get God After a long quest and search I got nothing nor could my guide point out my destination But when I got Ali, he was from the House of God And when I searched for God, even Him I found in Ali’s House why can’t Ali, the Lion of God, be the Hand of God? Even the aim of Providence is the gift of Ali, the king of victors Like Mohammed’s personality is unique Similarly, none was born as peerless as-Ali Ali was the essence of the Almighty’s message and he’s the halo of the moon of the Prophethood In the darkness of the unbelievers Ali is the light He is the first witness to the Prophethood of Muhammad Ali was born in Ka’ba, the seat of the Completeness Of Islam Even Gabriel, the most honoured angel, is Ali’s pupil He was the trusted companion of the Prophet And he was the smile of the Prophet, the chief of all; The prophets Ali is the supreme achievement of all that is Beautiful and exalted Ali is the Truth The epithet of being the ‘ Possessor of All the Obligations’ is Ali’s Ali is the sign of the f lower of all the qualities He is the secret behind the conquest of the Fort Khaibar He is the beholder of all the niceties of nuances Of eloquence and poetry In short Ali is the love of my very being He sacrificed his own sons for his faith He offered his virtuous and brave son, Hussain, to Islam One does not get knowledge from here and there whatever I know it’s all due to Ali Whenever I called out for him he always responded every soul is Ali, every being is Ali, he’s the life of all Though I’m asset less but Ali is my asset O seekers of faith, to be honest, Ali is my faith When the Dawn of the Night of Ascension broke The people saw the resplendent visage of the Prophet Muhammad On being requested by his followers to reveal what ‘he said in the heavens The pearls of wisdom flowed from his handsome lips “Unusual stature of Ali I encountered there “His name was resounding wherever I went “I saw him everywhere I went.” One who recites Ali’s name with sincerity enjoys the bounty of an eternal life O people, listen with dedication, I swear on God, The forlorn are uplifted when they call out Ali’s name To see Ali is the worship, thus said the Prophet For; Ali is the Prophets soul, body and life Ali is the purest of flowers Ali is the sword of truth He was born within the precincts of Ka’ba When the infant opened his eyes he saw the Prophet Ali is the light of the sun and moon He is the master of the destiny He is the truth and master of all |
